Hi, my name is Olena. I’m 18 years old and I’m from Ukraine. I want to tell you about my first impressions of an American rock concert!

I’m a big fan of live music, so whenever I get a chance, I take the opportunity to go to concerts. This summer, I managed to go to the concert of my favorite band, Muse, in New York. They have wonderful songs! The ones that I love in particular are called Feeling Good, Follow Me, and Unintended.

I was so excited and happy the moment I bought the ticket because I couldn’t wait to go to New York to see my favorite band. However, the more exciting part was going to a concert for the first time in the United States. I was thinking of the concert all morning, I simply could not get it off my mind. Although the concert started at 7 p.m., I left at noon and got on the train to New York. I just couldn’t wait to go to this amazing city!

When the concert began it was hard to get used to the loud sound, but things definitely got better when Muse took the stage. I was so excited because I was there, seeing them with my own eyes! I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing. The band members were smiling and greeting the audience, and then they started playing my favorite songs! The crowd went crazy, everybody started shouting out loud and I joined them to share my love and support. Every single fan was trying to get their feelings out by singing and swaying with the band. The band seemed glad that they could energize the crowd. At that moment, I swear that I was the happiest person ever.

The concert ended at 11:30 p.m. I was tired and went back home with absolute joy and fulfillment. I think concerts are different in the United States because the atmosphere is much livelier, and the band plays music more professionally.  I love attending live concerts because it is so exciting and I can indulge myself completely in music, which is different from listening to a CD or MP3 player.

Finally, I can say that it was a very memorable experience and it was one of the happiest moments in my life. I am so glad that I got this awesome opportunity to see a concert and enjoy music in one of the most beautiful cities.

This is how my dreams came true!
