I recently had the chance to visit Brazil! It was a wonderful trip, and I have some excellent recommendations for your next voyage!

Watch the sunrise on Copacabana Beach.

This beautiful beach stretches 4km and is known as the official party and celebration headquarters for New Years in Rio de Janeiro. This is considered to be one of the most famous and beautiful beaches in the world, set your alarm as early as you can, grab a good cup of coffee, and watch the gorgeous sunrise. There’s nothing like it to remind you just how lucky you are to be alive.

Visit Sugarloaf Mountain.

This peak is situated at the mouth of Guanabara Bay, on a peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. Standing at 396-meters high, you can jump into a cable car for a breathtaking 360-degree view of Rio de Janeiro while enjoying a refreshing Caipirinha.

What is a trip to Rio de Janeiro without music? This bar is located in the hip and bohemian neighborhood of Lapa, which is an area filled with live music, clubs, dance-halls, and samba jams. During my stay, I was able to watch Zé Paulo Becker play with his group Semente Choro Jazz. Their performance was breathtaking and left me in awe. What a great reminder that music is a language everyone can understand.

Drink coconut water. I repeat, DRINK COCONUT WATER.

The above line was pretty direct, but I’ll break it down for you. It’s a good source of nutrients and it’s a delicious source of hydration.

Go to Churrascaria Palace for dinner with carnivorous friends.

Founded in 1951, this well-known restaurant has been serving prime cuts of beef, oyster, and sushi to locals and tourists alike. Known as one of the most traditional steakhouses in the area, Churrascaria Palace has won countless awards for their service and quality!
